Listowel Visual Artists’ Collective (LVAC) Presents Major Collaborative Exhibition with Local Writing and Poetry Groups
The Listowel Visual Artists’ Collective (LVAC) held a major collaboration with three local writing and poetry groups for a special exhibition that coincided with a local literary festival.
The five-day event was a resounding success, with full attendance for each of the official exhibition openings, high footfall at all events, and multiple sales for over 25 LVAC members.
The exhibition took place from Wednesday 29th May 2024, at two prestigious venues, St. John’s Theatre and Arts Centre and Kerry Writers’ Museum in Listowel.
Featuring the creative works of 40 visual artists alongside the enchanting words of 40 local poets and writers, this exhibition was an extraordinary celebration of the arts.
But that was not all - as part of this exciting event, LVAC also hosted a pop-up Fine Arts and Crafts shop at a third venue located on Church St.
This space, christened LVAC Studio, which included a third exhibition space that showcased the diverse talents of LVAC members, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase unique creations while also enjoying a series of creative workshops, demonstrations, and more throughout the week.
“We were incredibly excited to bring together artists and writers in this collaborative project, offering a platform for expression and creativity,” said Louise Lynch, Co-Founder of the LVAC. “This exhibition was a testament to the rich cultural tapestry of Listowel and we were thrilled that so many came to experience the magic that unfolded when visual art, poetry, and literature converged.”
